About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an AV Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and ambitious business where you will receive hands-on training, mentorship and support from experienced Hamilton Robson technicians.
Working primarily from a client site in Central London, you will gain exposure to a wide range of audiovisual and workplace technologies while developing both your technical and customer-facing skills. As part of your development, you will initially shadow experienced team members before progressing into an independent support role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide day-to-day support for audiovisual and workplace technology systems.
- Support meeting rooms, video conferencing platforms and live events.
- Troubleshoot AV issues and respond to support requests.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic break-fix activities.
- Ensure AV equipment is operating effectively and reliably.
- Build positive relationships with on-site customers and end users.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities and equipment.
- Work alongside senior technicians to develop technical skills and experience.
- Travel to client sites across EMEA when required.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 5+ years’ experience working for corporate environment.
- Understanding of AV systems and video conferencing technologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- IT literate with knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the AV and workplace technology industry.
- Willingness to travel when required.
Desirable
- Familiarity with Q-SYS, Dante, Crestron, Polycom, Shure and Logitech technologies.
- Experience supporting meeting room and collaboration technology environments.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of live streaming technologies.
- AVIXA Qualifications.
