One of our most popular digital solutions for enterprise is our office analytics service. Our analytics dashboards are currently processing 50 million events per month, serving real time data to decision makers on user friendly dashboards.
The Challenge

Our clients in facilities, property, and IT sectors identified a gap in their understanding of space and room usage within their organisations. This included fluctuations in occupancy, meeting frequency, and overall space utilisation. Often, team managers were based in different regions and lacked a single source of truth to enable decision-making processes. Embracing this challenge, we embarked on developing accessible analytics dashboards to provide comprehensive, global-scale information tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Our Solution

Leveraging our expertise in analytics, we designed a versatile dashboard to cater to diverse client requirements. In the dynamic realm of smart office analytics, real-time data is pivotal for prompt decision-making. Our solution employs smart sensors to monitor meeting booth occupancy across four continents and seven time zones, ideal for enterprises with distributed teams. Recognising the varying regulatory landscapes of IoT devices in different regions, we tailored and rigorously tested our solution for seamless operation around the world.

Bespoke and customisable dashboards are tested, designed and delivered by our UX design team. They enable clients to track the usage of meeting booths, identify the busiest areas, and analyse average meeting durations daily or monthly. This not only assists staff in locating available workspaces but also aids operational teams in recognising high-traffic zones and planning additional meeting spaces and even future office moves.

Our sensor stack is energy efficient, too. Across all of our client accounts we ensure they sleep during the night and wake again in time for core business hours, saving energy.

Every client has different requirements and we work to provide analytics for these distinct requirements. For one client, we implemented over 400 sensors to monitor events from all end devices, including temperature and motion, consolidating data into a single dashboard. This solution simplifies anomaly detection, issue alerts, and tracking changes over time.

The Impact

Our product has been deployed across numerous locations and clients, covering more than a thousand meeting booths. The live data has provided clients worldwide with invaluable insights, enabling them to make informed decisions about office space management, thereby enhancing the overall office experience.

Currently, we process over 50 million events monthly with this service. We have developed a globally distributed dashboard system designed to ensure minimal latency for users across Europe, America, Australia, and Asia. Development of our analytics product to date includes exciting new data points requested by clients, such as humidity, light, and temperature, all aimed at optimising employee comfort and productivity – which we can dashboard with ease.
