Electricity Supply Board

The Challenge

We were challenged to design and build the AV for a new headquarters for the Electricity Supply Board (ESB) in central Dublin. Their newly-redeveloped Grade A HQ needed equally impressive and accessible technology solutions to help their teams collaborate. As the building is a temporary home for staff from all around Ireland, we needed to streamline room booking and navigation.

Our role encompassed in-depth consultancy and discovery, concept and then detailed design, engaging with all stakeholders within the organisation.

The Solution

We designed a diverse collection of collaboration spaces, providing digital signage, wayfinding, room scheduling and TV distribution. Utilising Crestron as their meeting room solution users were able to collaborate using familiar VC software with one touch, from huddle rooms to event spaces.
We provided screens throughout, and microphones in the larger rooms and meeting spaces. In the reception we installed a curved LED wall, striking an impressive tone for visitors and engaging staff as they arrive to start the working day. We streamlined both room booking and navigation around the building to cater for visitors through touchscreens and halo lights.

The Impact

130+ meeting rooms and collaboration areas, event space, all hands area, conference suite, training suites, reception, room scheduling, digital signage and active wayfinding were deployed across the ESB site, providing a consistent and seamless user experience across all room configurations.

The office space provides an open, welcoming, dynamic and ultra-modern environment for the ESB workforce. Monitoring and managing for all hardware and 24-hour support is provided by Hamilton Robson.
